The Process

How it works

From a single idea to a fully edited episode, here is what your experience looks like.

Step 01

Submit your idea

Tell us about your day. A birthday, a passion project, a wild group hangout. We'll review your pitch and let you know if you're a fit within 48 hours.

Step 02

We plan your episode

Our producer hops on a call with you to map out the arc of your day, lock in logistics, choose your episode style, and brief the crew.

Step 03

Filming day

A two-person crew shadows you start to finish. Mics go on, cameras roll. You just live your day and we handle the rest.

Step 04

Receive your edited episode

Within 7 to 10 business days, your finished episode lands in your inbox, colour-graded, scored with music, and cut like the real thing. Yours to keep and share forever.

Choose Your Format

Pick the format that best fits your day and how you want it to feel on screen.

Format 01

Cinematic and interview-driven. We weave talking-head segments with real footage to build a structured narrative around your day. Feels polished, intentional, and made to last.

Cinematic Interview-driven Structured narrative Great for milestone days
Format 02

FAQ

Questions we get a lot

Everything you need to know before applying. Don't see your question? Reach out anytime.

Is this staged or scripted?
No. While there may be light guidance, everything is based on real moments and real interactions.
Why would I do this?
Because it's a chance to step into the spotlight and capture a moment of your life in a way you normally wouldn't.
Can I do this with friends?
Absolutely. Group dynamics often make for the most entertaining and memorable episodes.
Do I need to be comfortable on camera?
Not at all. Most people aren't at first. You'll naturally get more comfortable as the day goes on, and the best moments usually come from just being yourself.
What's the difference between documentary and reality style?
Documentary is more intentional and cinematic, with interviews and a clear story arc. Reality style is more candid and unscripted, capturing real-time moments and interactions.
What are "talking head" or interview segments?
These are short moments where you speak directly to the camera about what's happening, how you're feeling, or what just happened. Think reality show confessionals.
Will I be mic'd the whole time?
Yes. You'll wear a small wireless mic so we can capture clear audio throughout the day. This helps bring out real conversations and reactions.
Will other people be recorded too?
Yes, especially if they are part of your day. Any key participants will need to sign a release form if they are prominently featured.
Can you film anywhere?
Not always. Some locations like private businesses, venues, or events may not allow filming. We'll work with you ahead of time to plan around this when possible.
Do I need to plan everything out?
You can come in with a fully planned idea, a general concept, or we just let things happen on the day. Part of the experience is letting things unfold naturally.
Will you guide what happens during the day?
Lightly. I may suggest moments, ask questions, or introduce ideas to help shape the story, but the goal is to keep things feeling real and natural.
How long does filming last?
It depends on the package you choose. It can range from a couple of hours to a full day.
How long is the final video?
It depends on the package and the day itself, but most videos range anywhere from 10–45 minutes.
When will I receive my video?
Final delivery is typically within 2–3 weeks after filming.
Can I review the video before it's posted?
Yes, for paid projects. You can choose a private option where the video is only delivered to you and not shared publicly.
Will my video be posted online?
For free or promotional shoots, yes. For paid shoots, you can choose whether or not you want it shared publicly.
Who owns the final video?
You do. Once your episode is delivered, you have full personal use rights, share it wherever you want. We retain the right to use short clips for our portfolio and marketing with your prior consent, but you can opt out of this during the booking process.
Is there an application fee?
Applying is completely free. If your pitch is accepted, we'll send over a booking agreement and collect a 50% deposit to lock in your shoot date. The remainder is due on delivery of your finished episode.
What if something goes wrong on the day: weather, cancellations, etc.?
Life happens. If you need to reschedule, just give us at least 72 hours notice and we'll find a new date at no extra charge. For weather-dependent shoots, we build a backup plan during the pre-production call so the day can flex without losing momentum.
